Alright, let’s talk about them Disney desserts, you know, the sweet stuff they got at that there magical place. I ain’t no fancy food critic or nothin’, just a plain ol’ person who likes a good treat now and then.
First off, you gotta talk about that Dole Whip. Everybody and their brother seems to love it. It’s like a pineapple soft serve thingy, real sweet and tangy. Can’t say I understand all the fuss, but it’s cool and refreshing on a hot day, I’ll give it that. You can find it all over the place, so you ain’t gotta go huntin’ for it.
Then there’s this Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake they got at some place called Liberty Tree Tavern. Sounds fancy, huh? Well, it’s pretty darn good, I gotta admit. Warm and gooey, with toffee and cake all mixed up. It’s the kind of dessert that sticks to your ribs, you know? They say it’s the best dessert at Disney World in 2024, and I ain’t gonna argue with that. If you like sweet stuff, you gotta try it.
Now, over in California, at a spot called Pacific Wharf, they got these Homemade Bread Bowls. Yeah, you heard that right, bread bowls. But they ain’t just for soup, mind you. They fill ‘em up with all sorts of good stuff, sometimes sweet, sometimes not. I had one with some kinda creamy somethin’ in it, and it was mighty tasty. The bread was all soft and chewy, perfect for soppin’ up all the goodness inside.
Let’s talk about cold treats, alright? They got all sorts of icy stuff, like them shave ice things, and ice pops, and sorbet. Kids love ‘em, and I ain’t gonna lie, I do too sometimes. Especially when it’s hotter than a firecracker in July. They got all kinds of flavors, fruity ones, creamy ones, you name it. It’s a good way to cool down and get a little sugar rush at the same time.
- Shave ice – It’s just ice, shaved real fine, with syrup on top. Simple, but good.
- Ice pops – You know, like those frozen things on a stick. They come in all sorts of colors and flavors. Good for the little ones.
- Sorbet – It’s like a fancy ice pop, made with fruit puree. Real smooth and refreshing.
And then there’s ice cream, of course. They got all kinds of that too. Ice cream sundaes with all the fixin’s, sherbet, and even somethin’ called frozen custard. I don’t know the difference between all them fancy names, but I know they’re all cold and sweet and good. They even got somethin’ they call semifreddo, sounds foreign, don’t it? But it’s just a fancy way of sayin’ kinda frozen, like a mousse or somethin’. In some countries, they call all this stuff ice cream, even if it ain’t exactly the same.
Now, this here’s a funny one. You remember that Indiana Jones movie, the one with the temple? They had this crazy dessert in it, chilled monkey brains. Don’t worry, they ain’t real monkey brains, thank goodness. At Disney, they make it outta chocolate cake and cheesecake, shaped like brains. It’s kinda weird, but it’s chocolate, so it can’t be all bad, right? I ain’t tried it myself, but I heard it’s pretty good if you can get past the look of it.
So there you have it, a whole bunch of them Disney desserts. Some are fancy, some are simple, but they’re all sweet and tasty. If you’re goin’ to Disney, you gotta try some of ‘em. Just don’t eat too much, or you’ll end up with a bellyache. And don’t forget to try the local stuff, sometimes the best treats ain’t the fancy ones, but the ones that taste like home.
And remember, it don’t matter if you’re young or old, rich or poor, everyone deserves a little somethin’ sweet now and then. So go on and treat yourself, you deserve it!
One more thing, I heard they change up their desserts sometimes, so what I told you might be different when you go. But don’t you worry, I reckon they’ll always have somethin’ sweet to tickle your fancy. Just keep your eyes open and your sweet tooth ready.
Anyway, that’s all I gotta say about them Disney desserts. Go on and enjoy yourselves, and don’t forget to try a little bit of everything. You only live once, right?
