Well, lemme tell ya somethin’ ’bout them drinks with green color tabs. I seen a whole bunch of ’em lately, and they got me thinkin’. You know, back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy colored drinks. We drank water, mostly. Or maybe some lemonade if we was feelin’ fancy. But these green drinks, they somethin’ else.
Now, I ain’t no expert, but I hear tell some of these green drinks is good for ya. They got all sorts of green stuff in ’em, like that kale and spinach. They say it’s called a Midori Sour. I guess that Midori stuff must be pretty popular. It’s one of the most popular drinks with green color tabs.
But then there’s the healthy ones, they call ’em green juices. They got all sorts of things in ’em, like celery and that wheatgrass. They say it’s good for ya, cleans ya out. I don’t know ’bout all that, but I seen folks drinkin’ it. They say it gives ’em energy. Maybe I should try it sometime, help me keep up with my grandkids. But I’m not sure about them drinks with green color tabs.
My daughter, she makes these green drinks too. She puts all kinds of stuff in ’em – cucumber, parsley, mint. Says it’s refreshin’. I guess it is kinda nice on a hot day. Better than plain old water, I suppose. But still, I remember when drinks was just drinks. You wanted somethin’ cold, you had water. You wanted somethin’ sweet, you had lemonade. But you know what I found out? Sometimes, they just use food colorin’ to make ’em green. Can you believe that? Just plain old food colorin’, like you use to color Easter eggs. They make you think it’s all healthy and natural, but it’s just a trick. That’s what they do nowadays, try to trick ya. That’s why it’s so hard to choose good drinks with green color tabs.
Now, they got these blue drinks too. They say tonic water is what makes them special. Tonic water, that’s a new one on me. They say it’s bitter. I don’t know why anyone would want to drink somethin’ bitter, but I guess some folks like it. And the blue drinks with green color tabs always show up at the same time. They are like a pair.
I guess there’s somethin’ for everyone these days. You want a green drink, you got a hundred choices. You want it healthy, you got it. You want it sweet, you got it. You want it fizzy, you got it. And if you want it to glow in the dark, well, you probably got that too. It’s a crazy world we live in.
I reckon I’ll stick to my water most of the time. But every now and then, I might just try one of them fancy green drinks. Just to see what all the fuss is about. Maybe I’ll even try that Midori Sour. Who knows, maybe I’ll like it. But I doubt it’ll make me feel like a superhero. I’m just a simple woman, and I like simple things. But these drinks with green color tabs, they sure are somethin’ to talk about, ain’t they?
