- Next, you give it a listen when you open it. If you hear that “fssssssssssst” sound, that’s the carbonation, that is what they call it. That means it’s still fizzy and probably okay. If you don’t hear nothing, that means there is no carbonation.
- Then, you listen close after you open it. Hear them little bubbles popping inside? That’s good. No bubbles, no good.
- Then you can try a little sip. If it tastes funny, or flat, don’t drink the rest. Better safe than sorry, right?
Now, I ain’t no expert, but that’s what I gathered. And it makes sense, don’t it? Just like with food, you gotta use your senses. If it looks bad, smells bad, or tastes bad, it probably is bad. It is all common sense.
Drinking expired soda and alcohol, is it safe?
I know some folks, they say they drank soda that was way past the date, even years, and they was fine. Maybe they got lucky, or maybe their stomachs are stronger than mine, I don’t know. I do not want to take any risk. My health is more important than money. But like I said, I don’t like to waste things. So, if they pass the tests I mentioned before, and it is unopened canned soda, I might give it a try. Maybe just a little sip first, to see how it goes. I will be careful with the expired alcohol. I heard that could be more dangerous.
But if you ask me, if you got any doubts, just throw it away. It ain’t worth getting sick over. You can always buy more. Your health is more important than a few dollars, ain’t it? But if you are poor like me, money is also important. But just remember that health is more important. I think I should buy new soda or alcohol next time.
