Okay, so the other day, I finally got my hands on some Belaire. Yeah, the fancy champagne that all the rappers keep talking about. I’ve been seeing it everywhere, and I was curious to see what all the hype was about.
First, I did a little digging online, you know, just to get the lay of the land. I found out that they use different grapes for different types. Like, their Rose uses Cinsault, Syrah, and Grenache, while their Brut is made with Chardonnay. That’s cool, I guess. Then I saw some stuff about the flavors—apple, pear, peach, honeysuckle, jasmine. Sounded pretty good, but I’m more of a hands-on learner, so I decided to try it myself.
- I picked up a bottle of the Luc Belaire Rare Rose because, hey, why not start with something pink? Plus, the description mentioned raspberry pie, vanilla, and strawberries. Who can say no to that?
- Popped that bad boy open, and the first thing I noticed was the smell. Definitely fruity, but not in an overpowering way. I poured myself a glass and took a sip.
- It was sweet, but not like, sickly sweet. You could definitely taste the berries, and there was a hint of something else… maybe the vanilla? I’m no expert, but it was pretty tasty.
Taste
Then I got a little adventurous. Their website said you could drink it over ice with fruit. So I thought, “Why the heck not?” I dropped a few ice cubes in the glass, threw in some strawberries, and gave it another go. Man, that was a game-changer. The ice toned down the sweetness a bit, and the strawberries really brought out the berry flavor. It was like a whole new drink!
To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much. I thought it was just another overpriced, overhyped drink. But I was pleasantly surprised. It’s actually pretty good. Especially with the ice and fruit. I get why people like it now. It’s not something I’d drink every day, but for a special occasion or just a chill night in, it definitely hits the spot. I even went back and tried their Luc Belaire Lux, which had a different vibe. It had grapefruit, honeysuckle, and apricots. Not bad either!
I think I’m going to keep a bottle of Belaire Rose around for when I want to feel a little fancy. Or when I have friends over. It’s a good conversation starter, and it’s just plain fun to drink. Even if you are not a fan of rosé you may like this. I don’t usually go for rosé but this has totally swayed me.
So yeah, that’s my Belaire experience. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself. I did a thing, I learned some stuff, and I had a good time. What more could you ask for?
