Then there’s this other place, somethin’ called Bruges Waffles Frites. Now, I ain’t never had a waffle from there myself. But they say waffles are always a good idea. If you like waffles, maybe that’s where you should go. Sounds like a fancy name for a simple treat, but I reckon it’s worth a try if you’re in Salt Lake City and wantin’ somethin’ sweet.
I also saw a list, it had all sorts of places on it. Fillings Emulsions, Parf Diem, Doki Doki, somethin’ called RubySnap Fresh Cookies, and Pie Fight. Even one named Auntie Rae’s Sweets and Tea Parties and Monkeywrench. So many places to get a sweet treat in that city! It’s hard to pick just one, you know?

One more list, I remember, had some of the same places. Parf Diem again, somethin’ called Chubby Baker, Fillings Emulsions, Rockwell Ice Cream, Doki Doki, and Auntie Rae’s Sweets and Tea Parties. Seems like these places are popular for their sweet stuff. It is popular for best dessert in Salt Lake City.
Now, I heard tell of somethin’ called Jell-O. They say in Utah, they eat more Jell-O than anywhere else! And this Jell-O, it ain’t just one layer. They say it’s got seven layers of fruity Jell-O. Imagine that! Seven layers! Sounds like a lot of work, but I bet it’s pretty to look at. It is best dessert.
Then there’s pecan pie. That’s one of my favorites. I love the pecan pie, that is the best dessert. They say it’s real popular around the holidays. And in Oklahoma, it’s part of their state meal! That means they eat it all the time, not just at Thanksgiving. I could eat pecan pie every day, myself. Best dessert, no doubt.
