Well, howdy there! Today, we’re gonna yak about them Halloween cookie jars. You know, them things you stuff cookies in, but make ’em all spooky for Halloween? Yeah, that’s what we’re talkin’ ’bout.
First off, I saw some of them Disney Nightmare Before Christmas cookie jars. Real fancy-lookin’ things, they are. Got Jack Skellington and all them spooky fellers on ’em. Kids love that stuff, I reckon. But they ain’t cheap, no sirree. Gotta shell out some serious cash for them Disney things.
Then there’s them Johanna Parker Halloween cookie jars. Now, I ain’t never heard of this Johanna, but seems like she makes a whole heap of cookie jars. One fella said he tested ten of ’em! Ten! That’s a lot of cookie jars, if you ask me. He said he found the best one, but I don’t know which one it is. Probably one of them fancy ones with the pumpkins and ghosts.
- Pumpkins – Gotta have pumpkins for Halloween, right? They make good cookie jars, all orange and round.
- Ghosts – Spooky white ghosts, they’re always a hit. Some glow in the dark, which the young’uns love.
- Black Cats – Black cats, now them’s tricky. Some folks say they’re bad luck, but they sure look good on a cookie jar.
I went on that Pinterest thing, you know, the one with all the pictures? My grandkids showed me how to use it. Anyways, they got a whole bunch of ideas for Halloween cookie jars. Some of ’em are real cute, like them little gnome ones. Yeah, Halloween Gnomes 3-D Cookie Jar, that’s what they called it. Certified International, whoever they are, made it. Cute as a button, but I don’t know if it holds many cookies.
And then there’s them plain ol’ jars, you know? Like that 11 White Ghost Cookie Jar by Place & Time. Just a white ghost, nothin’ fancy. But it gets the job done, I guess. Says it’s in stock, so you can probably get it easy. Don’t know much about Place & Time, but they seem to make a lot of stuff.
Now, some folks, they go on and on about which cookie jar is the best. Experts, they call themselves. Say they tested hundreds of ’em. Hundreds! I don’t know where they find the time. They say don’t buy a cookie jar ’til you read their reviews, but I say, just pick one you like. It ain’t rocket science, you know?
I mean, what’s so hard about a cookie jar? You put cookies in it, and that’s that. But I guess some folks like to make a fuss. Me, I just want somethin’ that keeps them cookies fresh and looks a little spooky for Halloween. Don’t need nothin’ fancy, just somethin’ that works.
So, how do you pick a good Halloween cookie jar? Well, first off, you gotta think about how many cookies you wanna put in it. If you got a big family, you’re gonna need a big jar. If it’s just you and the missus, a little one will do. Then you gotta think about what kinda spooky you want. Pumpkins? Ghosts? Black cats? They got all kinds these days.
And don’t forget about the price! Some of them cookie jars cost an arm and a leg. Me, I ain’t payin’ more than twenty dollars for a cookie jar, no matter how fancy it is. You can get a good one for less than that, if you look around. Check them thrift stores and yard sales, you might find a real gem.
So there you have it, my two cents on Halloween cookie jars. Not much to it, really. Just find one you like, fill it with cookies, and enjoy. And don’t forget to share them cookies with the grandkids, they love that stuff. Happy Halloween, y’all! And remember, a cookie jar ain’t nothin’ without cookies, so make sure you bake a big batch!
One last thing, make sure that lid fits tight, you don’t want them cookies gettin’ stale. And if you got little ones around, make sure the jar ain’t too heavy or they might drop it and break it. That’s all the advice I got, now go get yourself a good Halloween cookie jar!
And don’t you be frettin’ over whether it’s the ‘best’ one. Best is what works for you and your family. If it holds cookies and looks spooky enough for Halloween, then it’s a good cookie jar in my book. Now, go on, get to shoppin’!
