Okay, here is a blog post about making midnight mini cookies:
So, the other night, I got this crazy craving for something sweet. It was, like, way past my bedtime, but I just couldn’t shake the thought of warm, gooey cookies. That’s when I decided to whip up a batch of what I now call “midnight mini cookies.”
First, I grabbed all the usual cookie-making suspects from my pantry – you know, flour, sugar, butter, the whole gang. I also found a half-empty bag of chocolate chips that was practically begging to be used.
Getting Started
- Mixing the dry ingredients was the first real step. I dumped some flour, a pinch of baking soda, and a dash of salt into a bowl and gave it a good whisk.
- Next, I creamed together some softened butter and sugar in a separate bowl. This is where you get to pretend you’re a pastry chef and really go to town with your mixer.
- Then, I cracked in an egg and splashed in a little vanilla extract. It all started to smell amazing at this point.
Now comes the fun part – combining everything! I slowly added the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mixing until it all came together into a beautiful dough. I couldn’t resist tossing in those chocolate chips, and I might have “accidentally” eaten a spoonful of dough. Don’t judge me!
Making Them Mini
- Instead of making regular-sized cookies, I decided to make them mini. Why? Well, because they’re cute, and you can eat, like, a dozen without feeling too guilty.
- I scooped out tiny balls of dough onto a baking sheet. I mean, these were seriously small, like the size of a marble.
- Into the oven they went! I baked them for just about 8-10 minutes, until they were golden brown around the edges.
The smell that filled my kitchen was heavenly. As soon as they were cool enough to handle, I devoured a few (or a few dozen) with a cold glass of milk. They were crispy, chewy, and totally hit the spot. I did add some other different flavors of ingredients to part of them, and turned out that they are all good.
So, there you have it – my midnight mini cookie adventure. It was a delicious success, and I highly recommend giving it a try. Just be warned, they’re addictive!
