Okay, so today I wanted to try my hand at making some desserts with M&Ms. I’ve always loved those colorful little candies, and I figured they’d be perfect for some fun and tasty treats. I wasn’t really sure where to start, so I did what any self-respecting person in the 21st century would do – I Googled it. And oh boy, did I find a treasure trove of ideas!
I saw everything from cookies to cakes to pies, all with M&Ms in them. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest. But I decided to narrow it down to a few things that looked both yummy and manageable for a baking noob like me.
First up, I decided to make some M&M cookies. I found a simple recipe online, and it seemed easy enough. I gathered all the ingredients – flour, sugar, butter, eggs, and of course, a big bag of M&Ms. I mixed everything together, following the recipe to a T, and then I added in the M&Ms. I made sure to use plenty of those colorful little guys because, well, why not?
I put the cookies in the oven and waited, trying not to drool too much. When they came out, they were golden brown and smelled heavenly. And they tasted even better! The M&Ms added a nice crunch and a burst of chocolatey goodness to the cookies.
Next, I wanted to try something a bit more ambitious, so I decided to make a M&M cake. I found a recipe for a simple chocolate cake with M&M frosting. Sounded good to me! I made the cake batter, baked it, and let it cool. Then came the fun part – the frosting.
I made a basic buttercream frosting and then mixed in some crushed M&Ms. I spread the frosting on the cake, and then, for an extra touch of M&M goodness, I decorated the top with whole M&Ms. It was a thing of beauty, if I do say so myself.
- M&M Cookies: These were a classic and turned out great. The M&Ms added a fun pop of color and flavor.
- M&M Cake: This was a bit more challenging, but so worth it. The cake was moist and chocolatey, and the M&M frosting was the perfect finishing touch.
All in all, my M&M dessert adventure was a success! I made some delicious treats that were a hit with my friends and family (and with myself, of course). And I learned that baking with M&Ms is not only fun but also pretty easy. So if you’re looking for a fun and tasty way to use up some M&Ms, I highly recommend giving these desserts a try. You won’t regret it!
