We boarded the train, and it was like stepping back in time. The interiors were all vintage, very nicely done. Gave off a really cozy vibe.
Now, about the dinner. It was a four-course meal. Pretty fancy stuff. They started us off with some appetizers, then soup and salad. The main course was some kind of roast beef, if I remember correctly. And dessert was this chocolate cake thing. The food was alright. Nothing to write home about, but decent enough. One thing though – the website said we could bring our own wine. We didn’t know that, but it’s a good thing to keep in mind if you’re planning to go.

The train ride itself was the real highlight. The views were amazing. We went through some valleys, over a bridge, and alongside a river. It was all very scenic. Relaxing, too. Just sitting there, enjoying the views, chatting with my wife. It was a nice change of pace from our usual hectic lives.

Would I recommend the Boone Dinner Train? Yeah, I would. Especially if you’re looking for something different to do. It’s not every day you get to have dinner on a moving train, right? But I gotta say, the dinner was okay, but the scenic tour was really what made the whole trip worth it.
It’s a unique experience, and I think it’s something everyone should try at least once. Just don’t go expecting a five-star meal, and you’ll be fine. And remember, you can bring your own wine! Wish I’d known that beforehand.
