Caramel Kraft Recipes Youll Love, Easy and Delicious Treats

Okay, so, today I wanted to mess around in the kitchen and try out some stuff with those Kraft Caramels. You know, the little square ones? I’ve always just eaten them straight from the bag, but I figured, why not get a little creative, right?

Getting Started

First, I grabbed a bag of the caramels and a bag of their caramel bits. They are a little different. The square caramels got that classic, super chewy, gets-stuck-in-your-teeth texture. But the bits are a bit softer, still chewy, but not as sticky. I think I might actually prefer the bits for baking, but I’m not too sure yet.

Anyways, I started unwrapping the caramels. Yeah, it took a while, but it was kind of relaxing, in a weird way. Like, you get into a rhythm, you know? Unwrap, toss in the bowl, repeat. Once I had a good amount, I needed to figure out what to actually do with them.

Experimenting in the Kitchen

I saw some people online using these caramels for all sorts of desserts, not just caramel apples. Like, they were making cookies, cheesecakes, all kinds of stuff. I thought about making some chocolate chip cookies with the caramel bits. It is a normal food that I always bake. So, I melted some of the regular caramels in a saucepan, just to see how they’d behave.

Now, I’ve heard that the basic stuff in caramel is just sugar, butter, and cream. Some folks add corn syrup and water, I guess to help the sugar dissolve and stop it from crystallizing. I didn’t have any corn syrup, so I just went with the basics. It actually turned out pretty well! The caramel got all smooth and gooey, just like I wanted.

Making Caramel-Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

Then I had this idea: what if I stuffed some of that melted caramel inside chocolate chip cookies? I whipped up a quick batch of cookie dough – nothing fancy, just my usual recipe. Then I took a spoonful of dough, flattened it out, put a little dollop of the melted caramel in the center, and wrapped the dough around it. I did a bunch of these, popped them on a baking sheet, and threw them in the oven.

The Results

Man, those cookies smelled amazing while they were baking! When I took them out, the caramel had kind of oozed out a bit, but that just made them look even more delicious. I let them cool for a bit, and then I bit into one. Holy moly, it was good! The cookie was soft and chewy, the chocolate chips were all melty, and then you got that burst of warm, gooey caramel in the middle. It was like a little explosion of flavor in my mouth. It was an easy dessert and I will have them again. Seriously, these were some of the best cookies I’ve ever made.

So, yeah, that was my little kitchen adventure with Kraft Caramels. It was fun, a little messy, but totally worth it. I’m definitely going to be experimenting more with these caramels in the future. Maybe I’ll try making a caramel cheesecake next, or some kind of blondies. Who knows! The possibilities are endless, really. Anyway, I just wanted to share my experience. Maybe it’ll inspire you to try something new in the kitchen, too!
