Delicious Chicken Pastry Recipes: Check These Amazing Dishes for Your Family
Okay, so I really wanted to try making chicken pastry. It always seemed like such a cozy and comforting dish, perfect for a chilly evening. So, I decided to give it a go! I looked up a bunch of recipes online. They all seemed pretty similar, but I wanted one that was easy and didn’t have a million ingredients.
First, I gathered all my stuff. I needed some chicken, of course, I used the breast because they are easy to cook. And some veggies like carrots, celery, and onions. I also got some chicken broth, some seasonings, and the pastry. I was lazy, so I just bought some pre-made puff pastry from the store. Don’t judge me!
Then I chopped up all the veggies. I tried to make them all about the same size, so they would cook evenly. I tossed them in a big pot with a little bit of oil and cooked them until they were soft. Then I added the chicken that I had cut up to the pot and cooked until it was no longer pink.
After that, I poured in the chicken broth and added some seasonings, like salt, pepper, and some herbs I had in my pantry. I let that all simmer for a little while, just to let the flavors blend together. It was already starting to smell pretty good.
- Chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- Carrots, celery, onion
- Chicken broth
- Salt, pepper, herbs
- Puff pastry
While that was simmering, I rolled out the puff pastry. I just followed the directions on the package. I placed the pastry over the pot, making sure it covered the whole thing. Then I brushed the top with a little bit of egg wash, to make it all golden and pretty.
Finally, I popped the whole thing in the oven. I baked it for about 20-25 minutes, until the pastry was puffed up and golden brown. And let me tell you, the smell that filled my kitchen was amazing!
When it was done, I carefully took it out of the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Then I scooped out a big portion, the pastry was so flaky, and the filling was creamy and delicious. It was definitely a success! I will totally be making this again. Maybe next time I’ll even try making the pastry from scratch. Maybe…

I served it with a simple side salad, and it was the perfect meal. It was so satisfying and heartwarming. I’m so glad I decided to try making this. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. And It’s definitely going into my regular recipe rotation!
