Okay, so, I saw these super cute dinosaur cookies online the other day, and I just had to try making them. My little nephew is obsessed with dinosaurs, so I figured these would be a big hit for his birthday party.
I started by looking up some recipes. Found a pretty simple one and got to work. I mixed up the dough, which was your basic sugar cookie recipe. The fun part was actually shaping the cookies. I have some dinosaur cookie cutters.

I baked them, let them cool, and then came the really fun part – decorating! I made some buttercream icing and split it into a few different bowls. I went a little crazy with the decorating, if I’m being honest. But hey, that’s the fun part, right? I tried to make each dinosaur unique, with different colors and patterns. Some of them looked pretty good, if I do say so myself.
The Outcome
They were a massive hit at the party! All the kids loved them, and even the adults were impressed. It was definitely worth the effort, seeing how happy my nephew was. I think I’ll be making these again for sure. They’re just too fun and cute not to!
It took a little longer than I expected, but hey, baking is a process, right? The decorating was the most time-consuming part, but also the most rewarding. Seeing those little dino faces come to life was just awesome.
I ended up with about a dozen cookies, I did three of each type of dinosaur. They looked awesome on the dessert table, all colorful and fun. I’m not a professional baker or anything, but I think I did pretty good.
So, yeah, that’s my dinosaur cookie adventure. It was messy, it was fun, and the end result was totally worth it. If you’re looking for a fun baking project, especially if you have a little one who loves dinosaurs, I definitely recommend giving these a try.
