Okay, so I’ve been trying to eat healthier lately, and a big part of that is cutting out gluten. It’s tough, man, especially when you’re craving something crispy and fried. That’s where my air fryer comes in – it’s been a total lifesaver! I got it last year and started to use it for cooking.
I started by looking up some easy gluten-free air fryer recipes online. I mean, who doesn’t love crispy chicken, right? So, I decided to try making some gluten-free air fryer chicken thighs. I got some skinless, boneless chicken thighs and marinated them in a mix of olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Pretty basic stuff.
I preheated my air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. While that was heating up, I started preparing the chicken and put the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket. I made sure not to overcrowd them because that’s how you get that nice, even crispiness.
- First try, I cooked them for about 15 minutes, flipping them halfway through. They turned out okay, a little dry, but hey, it was my first time.
- Second time around, I lowered the cooking time to 12 minutes, and they were much better – juicy and tender on the inside, crispy on the outside. Just the way I like it!
- The third time was the charm! I nailed it! I also added some veggies to the basket. I used the same marinade for the veggies, and it was delicious. And it’s easy to cook with the chicken in the air fryer, for just 15 minutes.
Cooking Steps:
Then I thought, why stop at chicken? I tried some frozen gluten-free chips. It only took 5 minutes. They came out perfect.
And you know what? I even experimented with some appetizers. I made gluten-free queso in the air fryer. It’s basically just cheese, some spices, and a bit of milk, all melted together. It sounds weird, but trust me, it’s amazing.
My air fryer has become my best friend in the kitchen. It makes eating gluten-free so much easier and tastier. I love it! Seriously, if you’re trying to eat healthier or cut out gluten, you gotta get one.
So, yeah, that’s my gluten-free air fryer journey so far. It’s been fun, and I’m excited to try out more recipes. I might even try that bruschetta chicken I saw online. I’ll keep you guys posted!
