So, I finally checked out that Lake Pleasant dinner cruise the other day. It’s something I’d been hearing about, and with the weather getting nicer, I thought, why not?
First off, I looked up what to wear, you know, didn’t want to be too fancy or too casual. Found some info online saying “nice casual” is the way to go. I ended up wearing some decent slacks and a polo shirt. Saw some folks in nice jeans too, so that seemed alright. The ladies were mostly in casual dresses or slacks, pretty relaxed overall. No shorts or T-shirts in the dining area, that’s for sure.
Getting there was easy, and the whole check-in process was a breeze. Once I stepped onto the boat, the views of the lake and the surrounding scenery started to hit me. It’s pretty stunning, especially as the sun starts to go down.
They had this all-you-can-eat buffet thing going on. I’m not usually big on buffets, but I gotta say, the food was pretty good. It is not going to be super delicious, but it is a buffet so I did not have high expectations. I loaded up my plate and found a spot to enjoy the view. The atmosphere on the boat was really chill. There was some background music, nothing too loud, just enough to add to the vibe without drowning out conversations.

If you’re thinking about doing the Lake Pleasant dinner cruise, I’d say go for it. It’s a nice experience, especially if you’re looking for something chill to do. It is not going to be a very fancy night out, but I did enjoy the experience. Just remember to dress appropriately, and maybe bring a camera, although, like I said, pictures don’t really capture how nice the sunset is. I saw a lot of people taking pictures, but they all looked disappointed because the pictures did not show how great the sunset was at the moment.
All in all, it was a solid evening. Good food, great views, and a relaxed atmosphere. I left feeling pretty content. It is one of those things that’s just nice to do every once in a while.
