Well, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout this murder mystery dinner NJ thing. Sounds like a hoot, you know? Eat some grub and figure out who done it. I reckon it’s like them shows on the TV, but you’re right in the middle of it. It is so cool, right?
They say there’s one of these shindigs at a place called Maggiano’s in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Bridgewater, ain’t that somethin’? Fancy name. I bet it’s a real nice place, all fancy-like. Maggiano’s, now that’s an Italian name. My sister’s husband’s cousin, he married an Italian girl. They make the best spaghetti. But I’m getting off track here, ain’t I?
They got these murder mystery shows all over the place, it seems. Even down in Millville. Millville, that’s a little place. Not much to do there, ‘cept maybe go to the diner or the five-and-dime. But now they got this murder mystery dinner, so that’s somethin’ new.
They said, it’s interactive. You get to talk, and ask questions. It is a show with dinner. Sounds like fun to me. I always liked them puzzles. When I was a girl, we used to play those detective games. We’d pretend one of us was the bad guy, and the others had to figure it out. This murder mystery dinner NJ thing is like that, but with food!

And get this, they even got it in Jersey City! Jersey City, that’s a big place. Lots of people there. Lots of noise, you can guess. I went there once, years ago, to see my niece. She was livin’ there with her husband. They had a tiny little apartment, but it was right in the middle of everything. I bet there’s all sorts of places in Jersey City doin’ this murder mystery dinner thing. Top 10 best, they said!
They say you can wear a costume to these things. A costume! Can you imagine? Dressin’ up like some character in a play. I reckon some folks like that. Me, I’d probably just wear my regular clothes. But I do have that nice hat with the flowers on it. Maybe I’d wear that.
Then there’s this place called Congress Hall. They got these murder mystery weekends. Weekends! That’s a long time to be solvin’ a pretend murder. They say it’s got “seasonal themes”. I guess that means they change it up for Christmas and Halloween and such. That is so interesting. I guess it could be kinda spooky, huh?
