Okay, so the other day I was craving something sweet after dinner, you know? And I remembered my friend telling me about the desserts at Ruth’s Chris Steak House. I mean, I’ve been there for their steaks, which are amazing, but I’d never really paid attention to their dessert menu. Big mistake, apparently.
So, I went online and looked it up. The first thing that caught my eye was their Cheesecake. It said it’s creamy, homemade, and served with fresh berries. $12 for a slice, not bad, right? Then there’s this Warm Apple Crumb Tart thing. I’m a sucker for anything with apples, and this one has Granny Smith apples baked in a flaky pastry with streusel. I was already drooling just reading about it.
But wait, there’s more! They also have something they call Chocolate Sin Cake. It’s described as rich and flourless, with ganache. I don’t even know what ganache is exactly, but it sounds fancy and delicious. It sounds like a chocolate lover’s dream.
They also have dessert drinks like single malt scotches. There’s this Balvenie Doublewood 12-year, Glenfiddich 12 and 18-year. I saw a Glenmorangie 18-year and also a Glenmorangie Nectar d’Or.
I ended up going to Ruth’s Chris that night. Deciding what to choose was tough. I mean, cheesecake is a classic, but that apple tart was calling my name. And that chocolate cake, oh boy… I felt like a kid in a candy store. In my mind, I had to have them all. After thinking about it for a while, I decided to go with the cheesecake, classic, but I just had to try it. I also ordered the apple tart to go, because why not?

The cheesecake was so good. Creamy, just like they said, and the berries were a nice touch. I ate it slowly, enjoying every bite. I can’t wait to try the apple tart later. And you bet I’m going back to try that Chocolate Sin Cake and the scotches sometime. Ruth’s Chris, you’ve won me over with your desserts! I’m already planning my next visit in my head.
