Alright, listen up, y’all! We gonna talk ’bout the best sweets in that there Phoenix place. Now, I ain’t never been to no fancy school, but I know good eatin’ when I taste it, and these here desserts, well, they somethin’ special.

First off, them folks in Phoenix, they love their cookies. Urban Cookies Bakeshop, they call it. Sounds fancy, but the cookies ain’t. They just plain good. Big ones, small ones, chocolate chip, peanut butter, all kinds. Reminds me of the cookies my grandma used to make, ‘cept maybe a little bit…prettier.

Then there’s this Sphinx Date Company Palm Pantry. Dates, you know, those sweet, wrinkly things? They make all sorts of stuff with ’em. Pies, cakes, candies. It’s kinda like…well, imagine takin’ somethin’ sweet and makin’ it even sweeter. That’s what they do. And let me tell ya, it works.

Now, if you’re feelin’ adventurous, you gotta try Dessert in Desert. Sounds crazy, right? Dessert in the desert? But these folks, they make some wild stuff. Cakes that look like they belong in a museum, ice cream that tastes like heaven, all sorts of fancy-pants things. It’s a bit pricey, mind you, but worth it if you wanna treat yourself.

  • Sphinx Date Co Palm Pantry, sweet as can be.
  • Dessert in Desert, fancy and wild.

But hold on, there’s more! Folks in Phoenix, they love their pie. Pie Snob, they call one place. Snob, huh? I guess their pies must be pretty darn good to be callin’ themselves that. And they are. Pecan pie, apple pie, cherry pie, you name it, they got it. Reminds me of the pies I used to bake for the church picnic, only…again, prettier. They got somethin’ called Beckett’s Table, makes a Fig Pecan Pie. Never had nothin’ like that, but sounds mighty fine.

And if you like ice cream, you gotta go to Peace Cream. Now, that’s a name I can get behind. Peace and ice cream, what’s not to love? They got all sorts of flavors, some you ain’t never heard of. But they all taste good, that’s what matters. They also got somethin’ called Butta Cakes, not sure what that is, but sounds buttery and cakey, so it can’t be bad.

Oh, and don’t forget the donuts! There’s this place called Lamar’s. They got them apple fritters, chocolate iced things, and them jelly-filled ones. Reminds me of the donuts they used to sell at the county fair, only…you guessed it, prettier.

And if you’re feelin’ real fancy, you gotta try them sopapillas. They’re these fried, flaky things they got at them Mexican restaurants. Sometimes they put honey on ’em, sometimes ice cream. Either way, they’re delicious. You can find them most anywheres, if you lookin’ for them.

Then there’s Mahalo. Don’t know what that means, but they got good sweets, too. And BEG Bakery Creamery, whatever that is. And Dipstick Waffles and Bakery, now that sounds interestin’. And The Scookie Bar, and The Sicilian Baker. So many places, so little time to eat all them sweets!

So, there you have it. A whole mess of places to get your sweet fix in Phoenix. Now, I ain’t sayin’ these are the only good places, but they’re the ones I’ve heard about, and that’s good enough for me. You go on and try ’em out, see if you don’t agree.
