Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here Harmons Thanksgiving dinner. I ain’t no fancy cook, ya know, but I do know good eatin’ when I taste it. And let me tell ya, this Harmons stuff, it ain’t half bad.
First off, they got this turkey. Big ol’ turkey, cooked just right. Not too dry, not too tough. Juicy, ya know? Like when you bite into it, the juice just squirts out. That’s how a good turkey should be. They say somethin’ ’bout “Buttermilk-Brined,” I dunno what that means, but it tastes mighty fine.
And the fixin’s! Oh, the fixin’s are somethin’ else. Mashed potatoes, creamy and smooth, not a lump in sight. Gravy, thick and brown, just pourin’ it all over everything. Stuffing, they call it dressin’ sometimes, sweet and a little bit tangy, I like that. They put in some of them… uh… citrusy things, makes it taste real special. They say some fancy chef, Chef Daniela or somethin’, teaches people how to make it.
- Mashed Potatoes: Smooth as a baby’s bottom.
- Gravy: Thick enough to stick to your ribs.
- Stuffing/Dressing: Sweet and tangy, just the way I like it.
Now, I ain’t got the time nor the patience to be slavin’ away in the kitchen all day. I got things to do, ya know? Gotta feed the chickens, gotta tend to the garden. That’s why this Harmons thing is so darn convenient. They do all the work for ya. You just gotta heat it up. Easy as pie, they say. And it is! Just pop it in the oven, wait a bit, and bam! Thanksgiving dinner is served.
I heard tell you can even order the whole shebang online. Ain’t that somethin’? Just click a few buttons and, poof, dinner’s at your door. They even give you a discount if you order early, somethin’ ‘bout $15 off. Now, that’s what I call a good deal. You gotta order by November 14th though, to get that deal.
I seen some folks sayin’ Harmons is good for that traditional Thanksgiving dinner. You know, the kind your grandma used to make. And that’s true, it does taste like the real deal. But I also heard they got some of that… uh… non-traditional stuff too. Fancy things, I guess. I ain’t tried that, but I bet it’s good. Harmons, they seem to know what they’re doin’ in the kitchen.
They even got these classes for kids, Junior Chefs they call ‘em. Teachin’ them young’uns how to cook. That’s important, ya know? Passin’ down them recipes and skills, just like my mama did for me. She taught me how to make the best biscuits you ever tasted. Course, Harmons biscuits ain’t bad either. They learn skills they can pass down.
Some folks were talkin’ about it online, on that Facebook thing my grandkids showed me. Lots of folks seem to like Harmons for Thanksgiving. Said they make the whole meal fresh in the store. And that you get more time with family and friends, not in the kitchen cookin. And ya know what? I agree with ‘em. It’s good food, it’s easy, and it frees up your time. What more could ya want?
So, if you’re lookin’ for a good Thanksgiving dinner without all the fuss, I reckon you oughta give Harmons a try. You won’t be disappointed. It ain’t as good as my mama’s cookin’, mind you, but it’s pretty darn close. And that’s sayin’ somethin’!
Now go on and enjoy your Thanksgiving, ya hear? And don’t forget to give thanks for all the good food and good company. That’s what it’s all about, ain’t it?
